April news, tips and tricks.

Well April started off with a roll!  We celebrated Irina's birthday with a trip to the bowling alley for a couple of rounds of ten pin. Danni won, but a rematch is on the cards..

With such a fun start to our April (and can we just note the summary vibes of the weather to boot) we were all set for a renewal!

This month saw us update our neon supply stock with new products! We're very excited for our new glue  it comes in two varieties, the thicker (1500 cps) for a quick hold and the medium (200cps) viscosity for the smooth flow into the grooves of your sign.

 ⬅We also worked hard with our suppliers overseas to source new products, including 8mm LED neons, new colours and new 8mm end caps, for that final touch. 🌈

This month has also seen us working on a few hire signs. Making these signs is a great opportunity for us to expand on our educational content for sign makers, as well as for Irina to up skill in sign making. 💡One stand out tip from this round of signs was the importance of checking each new piece that is wired up before moving on to the next. You definitely don't want to get through half the sign before finding a fault and having to back track!

It was also exciting to work with a new smokey black acrylic for our sign "I bet you look good on the dance floor".  In designing this sign on the computer, Danni did her usual magic and sourced a font that replicates classic neon. This had a couple of benefits, the first was the ease of design for routing, it was a more malleable font, making design easier and faster. The second it worked well during the making process, making was easier and they still look spectacular.. here's a little preview.
