A little about us and Neon Flex Studio

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to explore our site. 

We wanted to start with our story and the values that we bring to Neon Flex Studio. Like most small businesses in Australia, we're focused on supporting our local community and keeping manufacturing localised. There are many ways to consume products online, the choices are limitless and the quality... well that's not always so easy to gauge but we reckon it starts with trust. Trust of the product and the people behind it. Trust of jumping online to a reputable site, with a name and a real human to speak to, that's why we have an email and a phone number.  

As the Millennial generation, we remember what it was like to grow up with products that would get fixed, not just replaced. We were there for the rise of online retailers like ebay, etsy and amazon. Meanwhile we grew up with a bunch of quirky shops on the local shopping strips, selling crystals and dream catchers run by some friend's mum who was "into that sort of thing". We've lived analogue to digital and feel this difference acutely!

We don't want to get too nostalgic, but it was fun to have all those options of local makers, designers and manufacturers offer up products that we could see and touch. Those stores reflected not just some quirky mum tastes but also a culture, steeped in local identity and familiarity. We want to keep those embers burning in a small but impactful ways, offer up knowledge and skills to educate others in the industry, make things that we know will tickle our customer's funny bone and remain honest and reliable business owners. 

We don't have it all figured out just yet, but we're starting with what we think you may enjoy and taking on feedback and experience to grow this into more. More signs, more learning, more laughs, more ideas.
