Unzip your puffer jacket, refill your coffee cup and get updated on all things Neon Flex Studio.

It's official, Danni and I are a fleet. Danni braved the cold and wet building a makeshift tent in the driveway, to wrap the Yarris this month. Squeezing it in between jobs, bouts of rain and wind she managed to do the whole thing in under a week or there abouts.

There are still some stickers to go on but the car is close to done and looking pretty amazing. There goes my anonymity - if you see me on the roads, please wave!

As always we have some photos here, but we're not quiet ready for the big reveal yet.

This year I couldn’t join the Push-up Challenge for the very fun reason of having my gall bladder removed. Aside from being useless to lift anything, I also didn’t get to build up my pecs or arm muscles.

Luckily for me, Danni completed it with a total of 3,307 pushups, which means she could lift anything. 💪 💪 The team raised $200 for mental health support. They're still taking contributions so feel free to jump on their page here if you're feeling super generous today.

Our workshop has been busy this month with installations, a photo shoot and plenty of vinyl jobs to our longterm clients.

⬅ Another job well done. Install for an exhibition in Monash Clayton.

Along with the usual orders for signs, we had a fun install together at the Yarra Plenty Library.

A rare outing for the both of us we got to check out the space which was super cosy and had an excellent cafe. Danni installed their new vinyl sign with anti-graffiti protection and I entertained the idea of their maker space for our upcoming neon sign making workshop in November.

⬅ Danni at Saltwater Sign Co workshop with owner Mark. The two are equally matched in enthusiasm for signs and sign making!

This month Danni stretched her teaching muscles, assisting Mark from Saltwater Sign Co with a large LED Neon Sign. Making the trip to the workshop Danni problem solved some of the challenging aspects of the sign and answered his questions around routing, layout and powering up principles. Mark has sent us photos of the finished product and we are chuffed with how well it turned out!

And on that note, we're excited to announce that our education program will be running by this November! We've opened up the registrations, but places are limited as classes will be kept small to ensure everyone gets the most from the day. The workshops will be entirely hands on, with a theoretical overlay on design practicalities. They're aimed to empower industry people in the neon flex space, we want everyone to walk away feeling like they have a new revenue stream. If this sounds like you and you have questions, let us know.

Before Danni and I started working together in what I will go on the record to say as the greatest collab of all time! We were good mates, and occasionally we like to do mates type things. Like eat delicious homemade lasagne at Ardor Gluten Free Kitchen. Vince cooks the most amazing  GF pasta dishes, you would never know they were missing any gluten - we walked away stuffed to the brim. We highly recommend you pop down there but be sure to check they're very niche opening hours.

We're feeling pretty grateful for a productive albeit freezing winter this year. In particular we're taking time to appreciate the parts of life that bring us joy.

Most days our biggest source of joy is Bodhi's company. Recently Bodhi had a few rough days with his back legs giving him some trouble. But after a swift visit to the vet and a lot of TLC from us he’s feeling better and moving more easily. We’re taking the time to appreciate his company, his stylish strut to and from the workshop and his general love for anything we do. We urge you to take a moment and appreciate the little things that bring you joy, even if they pant in your face and drool on you.

Bodhi has a number of cosy outfits for winter. âž¡
