Flexing our neon muscle!

Flexing our neon muscle!

It's been a hot summer in our little studio. 🥵

In addition to setting up website and sourcing new stock, we've made signs that have graced some of Melbourne's most prominent events: Australian open and Grand Prix to name a couple! 💪 💪

We've also made some fun signs for a friend's 40th and it was so good that we've decided to make it in 2 colours!  Red is coming soon.

All this making had us do a deep dive on glues. As most of you makers will know, gluing silicone is up there on the difficulty scale. We always rely on our Silicone Primer (we make sure to prime both the acrylic and the silicone prior to a lay out) but we also wanted a glue that was the right consistency and would hold wires in place as soon as it touched the surface.  After some digging, Danni found a great glue product, made right here in Australia which will be available for resale on our website any minute! 🎊

In the meantime, check out the behind the scenes photos of our work over the summer:

⬅ If you ate a burger at the AO maybe you stood under the glow of our sign. 🍔 🤤

⬅ It's not all words and letters. We had fun working out the tight and precise corners of this one - thanks to Rhys on his routing excellence!

We loved making a 40th sign for our friend Bec. Its now part of our hire collection. ➡

⬅ Coming soon! The red version, we can't wait to see it all lit up. It's primed and ready for gluing, soldering, and wiring up!
